Do I have to use the base?
Yes. The base is what gives the cushion integrity. Without it the cushion is ineffective.

How do I know I’m getting the support my body needs?
The blue base is hard plastic that holds the soft green rubber cushion in place. The inside of the cushion is ribbed and reinforced. As you sit against it your body weight causes the ribs to stretch as much as your body needs to give you only as much support as you need to sit straighter.
What is Back Bean made of?
Back Bean is made of plastic and food-grade rubber, much like your toothbrush.
How big is it?
Assembled, Back Bean is 4” wide, 3” tall and 2 or 2 1/5” deep (depending on if you are using the small or large cushion). It’s 3” deep when using the jumbo cushion. It weights about 4 oz.
Can it support my weight?
Since you are sitting against it and not on it Back Bean can support weight of 350 lbs. We haven’t tried it on anyone heavier but would appreciate your comments on your success if you are larger. If its doesn’t work for you, you are welcome to return it for a full refund.
Is it durable?
Absolutely. It will withstand temperatures of -50° – 150°F. We recommend storing out of direct sunlight.
How do I clean it?
We recommend wiping the cushions with a damp cloth or antibacterial gel cleanser.
